Bun Rany Hun Sen Expresses Gratitude to the Queen Mother, to Use Cash Gift to Provide Wells for Rural Areas

PHNOM PENH: The wife of Prime Minister Hun Sen and president of the Cambodian Red Cross, Bun Rany Hun Sen has expressed her gratitude towards Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk. The Queen Mother has gifted her with $20,000 and a bouquet of flowers a day ahead of her 67th and 68th birthday.

Bun Rany Hun Sen says, "I am very pleased to receive a message of deep meaning and royal wealth of $20,000 and beautiful flowers as well as a basket of precious gift from Her Majesty the Queen Mother of Cambodia, the most revered deity this year 2021. "

The wife of the Prime Minister has expressed her deepest gratitude while adding that she will use the noble gift of the Queen Mother to dig wells for the people in the rural areas of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

She says, “I will always remember the precious merits of Her Majesty the Queen Mother of Cambodia, the most revered deity, who always bestowed on me and my family as an encouragement to my lord to strive to serve the motherland and the people of Cambodia. I would like to pray for the merits, the hardwork of the sacred objects in the world, the guardian deity of the King and the hand of the soul of the former King, Khmer Queen all for the sake of His Majesty the Queen Mother of Cambodia, the highest deity, may all heaven be a cool shade for all people throughout the Kingdom of Cambodia forever.”

Bun Rany Hun Sen was born on 15 December 1954. She is a daughter of a farmer from Roka Khnor commune, Krouch Chhmar district in Kampong Cham province which is now part of Tbong Khmum province. She and Prime Minister Hun Sen got married on 5 January 1976 during the Democratic Kampuchea regime. She became the president of the Cambodian Red Cross on 30 April 1998 until the present.
